FHM Business Master's degree programs impress with business contacts and practical relevance

The FHM Campus Berlin used the specialist events organized by VIR e.V. and BVMW to gain valuable insights into current developments such as innovations and artificial intelligence.

In addition to the topic of blockchain, the participants themselves worked with AI programs and tested applications.
The next World Cup is coming: Yi Liu's advertising poster created with the AI program Ideogram.
BVMW Federal Managing Director Senator (ret.) Ahlhaus opens the event at the Microsoft Representative Office in the German capital.
It only took two months for ChatGPT to break the 100 million user mark, according to Oliver Gürtler, Head of SME Business and Member of the Management Board of Microsoft Deutschland GmbH (front in picture) in the opening lecture; a fact that Zisheng Zhang (right in picture) passed on to his fellow students.

Master's students from the FHM Campus Berlin would like to thank the Internet Travel Distribution Association VIR e.V. and the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BVMW) for the great opportunity to take part in the latest specialist events in the German capital.

Five students, including study group spokesperson Ms. Yuanyuan Zhang, used the VIR Innovation Days from 18 to 19 June to follow and discuss current developments such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and the future of online travel agencies (OTAs) compared to stationary and in-house sales by tour operators.

The student reports on the association event also attracted particular interest with regard to the latest developments in the FTI insolvency, as one of the case studies covered in the course related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on this tour operator. Master's student Zisheng Zhang and Prof. Dr. Heike Bähre attended the evening event jointly organized by BVMW and Microsoft at the Microsoft Representative Office “Unter den Linden” entitled “KI kann Mittelstand, von Daten zu Taten: Discovering AI potential for SMEs”.

The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a member of the BVMW and, as a university of applied sciences, focuses its teaching and research activities on small and medium-sized enterprises, the so-called hidden champions of an economy. The reports and discussions at both forums fed directly into the course “International Sales Management” and the associated examination form “Professional Practice” in the German-English Master's degree course “International Management” and provide orientation for the upcoming internship phase in the fifth trimester.
