China's Consul General visits FHM Bielefeld
Du Chunguo, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Düsseldorf, visits Bielefeld and strengthens German-Chinese educational cooperation.

On September 4, 2024, Du Chunguo, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Düsseldorf, visited the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) in Bielefeld together with Consul Prof. Dr. Dr. Lu Xia and Protocol Officer Zhang Xi. The two-hour visit provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the potential positive influences of the German higher education system on the Chinese education system.
The role of the FHM model in the modernization of the Chinese education system was highlighted during the talks. In particular, the FHM's innovative learning concept, including combined studies and online modules, was seen as groundbreaking for both countries.
In this context, the Consul General explained that every effort would be made to support diverse partnerships between the FHM and Chinese universities. At the end of the meeting, Consul General Du Chunguo presented FHM with a gift from the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China - a beautiful silk scroll with a painting of the Great Wall of China. This gift not only symbolizes the ever-deepening friendship between the consulate and FHM, but also expresses the consulate's great expectations for future cooperation.
