Chinese Consul General in Düsseldorf welcomes Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Volker Wittberg
The Chinese Consul General in Düsseldorf, Du Chunguo, received FHM Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Volker Wittberg at the Consulate General for an in-depth discussion on intensifying German-Chinese educational cooperation.
In addition to Consul General Du, Consul Xia Lu and Protocol Officer Xi Zhang also took part in the meeting on the Chinese side. The FHM delegation was represented by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Volker Wittberg, the Head of the FHM Welcome Center, Xiang Ren, and Ruoqian Huang.
Consul General Du emphasized that the Chinese Consulate General in Düsseldorf attaches great importance to cooperation with German private universities. He expressed the hope that the meeting would help to further support cooperation between the FHM, Chinese universities and Chinese companies based in Germany. He emphasized the immense potential for deepening cooperation between China and Germany in the field of education and expressed confidence that new heights could be reached through joint efforts. Prof. Dr. Volker Wittberg thanked Consul General Du for the warm welcome and introduced the achievements and future strategy of FHM in the field of international education, research and development. He emphasized that FHM always strives to strengthen ties with Chinese universities and enterprises to broaden students' international perspectives and practical skills through joint programs and academic exchanges.
Xiang Ren explained the work of the FHM Welcome Center, especially its efforts to support Chinese students studying in Germany. He said that the FHM Welcome Center will continue to provide quality services to help Chinese students adjust to living and studying in Germany.
This meeting laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between FHM and the Chinese Consulate General in Düsseldorf and opened up new prospects for Sino-German educational exchanges. Both sides agreed to further intensify communication and cooperation in order to jointly promote the development of education in both countries.
