Im April fanden in Indien die Eingangsprüfungen für Bachelor-Studiengänge der FHM statt. Hoch im Kurs seitens der Bewerber: Cyber Security sowie Management and Technology.

Die FHM legt seit jeher eine großen Wert auf die direkte Prüfungsabnahme, sowohl in Indien als auch in der VR China, stets durch die aktuellsten Anforderungen zur Qualitätssicherung begleitet. Für die Kandidaten ist es oftmals der erste Kontakt mit Vertretern einer deutschen Hochschule, darüber hinaus noch im Prüfungsmodus! Es liegt auf der Hand, dass ein hohes Stressniveau und auch die ungewohnte Prüfungsumgebung, fernab des originären Wohnortes in Indien, die Aufregung schüren und die Prüfung eine echte Hürde sein kann.

Prof. Dr. Carsten Domann hat vor Ort in Indien die Kandidaten empfangen und die Prüfungen abgenommen. Neben den rein administrativen Sachverhalten spielten das persönliche Zusammentreffen und die neuartige Arbeits- und Prüfungsatmosphäre eine wichtige Rolle. Im Ergebnis sind 16 neue Kandidaten zu verzeichnen, die sich auf die nächsten Schritte im Bewerbungsprozess freuen und vorbereiten können.

Das Programm der Reise war nicht nur auf die APS-Prüfungen konzentriert. In großem Umfang hat Prof. Domann auch Gespräche mit Kandidaten für die Masterstudiengänge International Technology Transfer Management (ITTM), den MBA General Technology Management (MBA GTM) sowie International Management (IM) durchgeführt. Die Fragen seitens der Bewerber richteten sich insbesondere auf die Spezialisierungen und die daraus resultierenden Berufschancen in Deutschland. Die Bachelorabsolventen, die sich für ein Masterstudium an der FHM in Berlin entscheiden, haben sehr konkrete Berufs- und Karriereziele vor Augen. Der Campus Berlin freut sich, diese Interessenten hoffentlich bald immatrikulieren zu dürfen.

Darüber hinaus gab es auch vielzählige und intensive Konsultationen mit Organisationen und Einrichtungen in Indien, die seit langem mit der FHM verbunden sind oder diese Zusammenarbeit anstreben. Die gesammelten Erfahrungen und Meinungsbilder werden in die Arbeitsabläufe in Berlin und in die Studieninhalte und Studienangebote einfließen.

FHM International Campus Berlin – Examination and Consultation Trip to India 

The entrance examinations for FHM bachelor's degree programs took place in India in April. Highly popular among applicants: Cyber Security and Management and Technology. The FHM has always placed attention on direct examinations, both in India and in the People's Republic of China, always accompanied by the latest quality assurance requirements.

For the candidates, it is often their first contact with a representative of a German university, even in exam mode! It is obvious that a high level of stress and the unfamiliar exam environment, far away from the original place of residence in India, can fuel excitement and the exam can be a real hurdle. Prof. Dr. Carsten Domann welcomed the candidates on site in India and took the exams. In addition to the purely administrative issues, personal encounters and the new working and examination atmosphere played an important role. As a result, there are 16 new candidates who can look forward to and prepare for the next steps in the application process. 

The trip program was not just focused on the APS exams. Prof. Domann also conducted extensive interviews with candidates for the master's degree programs in International Technology Transfer Management (ITTM), the MBA General Technology Management (MBA GTM) and International Management (IM). The questions from the applicants focused in particular on specializations and the resulting career opportunities in Germany. Bachelor graduates who decide to study for a master's degree at the FHM in Berlin have very specific professional and career goals in mind. The Berlin Campus is looking forward to hopefully enrolling these interested parties soon. 

There were also numerous and intensive consultations with organizations and institutions in India that have long been associated with the FHM or are seeking this collaboration. The experiences and opinions gained will flow into the work processes in Berlin and into the course content and course offerings.
