FHM Refund Policy

Before starting a study program at FHM, every international participant of any study program is requested to pay a specific amount of the overall tuition fee. A respective invoice is submitted accordingly.

Every international participant may apply for the refund of (parts of) the tuition fee in the following cases:

  1. The FHM refunds 100% of the fees charged if the visa of the participant has been rejected and therefore entry is not possible. An administration fee of 250 € will be charged.
  2. The FHM refunds 70% of the fees charged if the applicant does not attend the interview at the embassy.
  3. The FHM refunds 50% of the fees charged if the visa has been issued and the applicant cancels his participation in the program until four weeks before the start of the program.
  4. The FHM refunds 70% of the fees charged if the visa has been issued and the applicant cancels his participation in the program on ground of ill health. In this case a medical certificate is needed.
  5. The FHM does not refund, if the FHM does not have a formal notice of termination of the study program 14 days before the start of the program.
  6. Students must transfer the complete first instalment to be eligible for final registration (matriculation) and to gain access to lectures, course materials, and the study platform at FHM University. If a student does not transfer the full first instalment within four weeks of receiving the visa, FHM University will not refund the partial payment.
  7. The international participant ensures the bank details he/she provides are correct. FHM is not responsible for payments made to incorrect accounts provided by international participants.
  8. Additional agreements are not accepted. Legal venue is Bielefeld. This policy is valid from January 1st, 2025.
